PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Talent Acquisition Specialist & HR Generalist facilitates full-cycle recruitment efforts for SMA’s talent acquisition process. They are responsible for creating a first-class experience for all applicants through compassionate and intentional communication. They will ensure the administration structure supports the efforts of the Human Resources Department and is responsible for performing Human Resources duties on a professional level.
PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitates the talent acquisition process, which includes full-cycle recruitment of all positions, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Supports orientations for new employees.
- Supports the coordination of all Background Checks and Drug Screens for New Hires. Identifies and implements creative and effective sourcing methods and strategies.
- Supports the HR team in administrative tasks around the employee lifecycle.
- Maintains the HRIS database and updates all applicable employee information, as necessary.
- Assists with the maintenance of all relevant personnel documentation.
- Processes human resources reports as needed and maintains reporting records for audits.
- Other duties as may be required or assigned.
REQUIRED TRAINING (TYPE / DURATION / FIELD / ADDITIONAL TRAINING)
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business or related years of experience required.
- At least 3 years work experience in a similar position
REQUIRED RELEVANT PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE (TYPE / DURATION)
- Knowledge of Human Resources and business acumen is preferred.
- Knowledge of employment laws and their applications is preferred.
OTHER SPECIALIZED SKILLS
- Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) is strongly preferred.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy are required.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in a variety of situations.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
- Ability to work individually and as a member of a team
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- Salary Range: $66,000-80,000
- Comprehensive benefits including health/dental/vision with $0 premium options, 401k with match, advanced training and education opportunities, etc.
- Hybrid work schedule, typically in-office on Tuesday/Thursday. Additional days in office may be needed for events, orientation, or other times as needed.
