You will be part of Group Regulatory Affairs, a dedicated team of specialists headquartered in Hedehusene, Denmark. Group Regulatory Affairs assists regulators in creating holistic and ambitious legal frameworks for the construction industry, with a strong presence in the standardization field, focusing on environmental performance, sustainability, and fire safety.
The team also provides knowledge, guidance, and support to colleagues in relation to Environmental Product Declarations through Life Cycle Assessment of ROCKWOOL’s solutions to support product development, marketing and communications initiatives in different markets.
What you will be doing:
We are looking for a committed professional with passion for sustainability and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to join Group Regulatory Affairs team. You will help carrying forward and support work related to LCA and Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), and assist on measurement and reporting of product and corporate sustainability in ROCKWOOL through environmental sustainability-focused projects. Group Regulatory Affairs is part of Group Marketing and Communications & Public Affairs, a diverse department with more than 10 nationalities and professional backgrounds.
As a Product Sustainability and LCA Specialist in Group Regulatory Affairs your work is focused on quantitative sustainability assessments, standards, and regulations on the social, environmental, and other sustainability aspects of thermal insulation.
Among others, your role is to:
- Conduct LCA calculations according to different standards (e.g., ISO 14040/14044, ISO 14067, EN15804, GHG Protocol) and create LCA models of products
- Publish Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) to enhance market transparency
- Research and investigate environmental hotspots to provide vital support to new product developments
- Collect and manage data of manufacturing related activities to create life cycle inventories
- Evaluate and translate technical results in understandable messages for internal and external communication
- Communication support, e.g., prepare power point presentations for various topics
- Assist the team in ad-hoc activities and projects
Although the position is located in Poland, you will occasionally visit our headquarters in Hedehusene, close to Copenhagen.
What you bring:
- MSc degree in Sustainability, Material Science, Civil / Chemical / Environmental engineering or similar
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- You have good knowledge in life cycle thinking, environmental systems, product sustainability and/or climate change
- You have experience with LCA modelling and LCA databases (e.g., GaBi software, ecoinvent) and relevant LCA standards (EN15804)
- You can understand technical content and translate it into easily understandable messages
- You work in an organized fashion, have good attention to detail, value quality and understand the importance of deadlines
- You are good-humored, have a positive and flexible mindset and a can-do attitude
- You have very good data management and analytical skills and have excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.)
- You have excellent communication skills in Polish and English, both spoken and written
- Experience in the construction sector is an advantage, but it is not a requirement
