We have an exciting opportunity available for a strategic and results-driven Procurement Manager to oversee and optimize our Eastern Europe procurement operations across both direct and indirect spend categories. This role will ensure that all procurement activities align with organizational goals, achieve cost efficiencies, optimize current network, maintain strong supplier relationships and service level. The Procurement Manager will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including operations, commercials, finance, and supply chain, to ensure seamless procurement processes that meet business needs. This newly created position is based in Amsterdam and will report directly into the Head of Procurement Poland and Eastern Europe.
Main ingredients:
Strategic Procurement

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for both direct and indirect categories.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvement, supplier consolidation, and network optimization.
  • Align procurement goals with business objectives and needs.


Supplier Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers to meet quality, financial, and service requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains.
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews and manage contracts.


Cost Management

  • Analyze and monitor spend data to ensure budgetary compliance and optimize procurement costs.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing and contracts with suppliers to achieve the best value for the organization.
  • Mitigate risks associated with prices volatility, market trends, and supplier dependency.


Operational Excellence

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define procurement needs and specifications.
  • Implement and manage procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.


Risk Management & Compliance.

  • Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, including supply disruptions, non-compliance, and quality issues.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with legal, ethical and organizational policies.


Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Use data-driven insights to track procurement performance, trends and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on procurement metrics to more senior stakeholders.

Recipe for Success

  • Education: Master's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Work Experience:
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in procurement or supply chain management, covering either direct or indirect spends.
  • Demonstrated expertise in supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost analysis.
  • Technical skills:
  • Proficiency in procurement tools and ERP systems (SAP, Ariba...)
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices and market trends


  • Soft skills
    • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills to train, guide and influence stakeholders.
    • Ability to simplify the complex.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


  • Language: Fluent in English
