Job Title: Technical Consultant - Networking

Type: Full-Time

Job Overview: We are seeking a Technical Consultant specializing in networking to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of networking principles, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with customers to design, implement and optimize their networking solutions. We can offer a broad range of customers active in different industries. The job will require regular on-site visits to different customer locations and occasional evening or weekend work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Consultation: Collaborate with clients to assess their networking needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Network Design and Implementation: Design, configure, and implement networking solutions, including LAN, (SD)WAN, and wireless networks.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Demonstrate networking best practices and new technologies to customers and internal teams.
  • Time Management: Manage and prioritize multiple projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure network solutions adhere to industry standards and security protocols.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging networking technologies and trends to provide innovative solutions.
  • Migrations: Drive, structure and facilitate complex customer migrations with minimal disruptions.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve complex networking issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:  3 – 5 years of experience in networking roles, with a focus on design, implementation, and troubleshooting. Experience as a consultant is a plus.
  • Certifications:  Aruba Networking Certified Professional or equivalent professional level networking certifications/proven track record.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in network protocols, routing, and switching.
    • Main focus on Campus networking like LAN, WLAN and NAC. 
    • Knowledge of PKI, AD/EntraID, hypervisors, ... is a plus.
    • Experience with network security practices and tools (firewalls, proxies, load-balancers, VPNs, etc.).
    • Multivendor knowledge is a plus.
    • Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
    • Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Passion for IT and networking
    • Strong consulting mindset/attitude.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Client-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Languages: Dutch/French + English
