Marketing PMO Director
The Marketing PMO Director will be a key part of the marketing leadership team responsible for overseeing organizational processes aligned to improve quality, productivity and efficiency and driving operational excellence. This role will be responsible for collaborating with leadership teams to make important policy and strategic decisions and develop and implement operational processes and systems. The Marketing Operations Director will lead a team of direct reports while promote a company culture that encourages positive morale, high performance, and strong team operations with “big-picture” perspective.
Responsibilities:
- Track, simplify and optimize the project flow, project tracker and assets on a weekly/daily basis and escalate concerns when delays occur or projects deviate from plan.
- Optimize one common workflow tool (Wrike) for all functions and stakeholders with robust report generation/dashboard
- Work with cross functional teams across various levels in the organization for completion of projects on time and on quality
- Identifying the need for templates and automation for repetitive tasks and executing the same to optimize delivery and increase reach/revenue impact and use knowledge to train teams to improve workflow
- Work on innovations that will substantially improve workflow, remove bottlenecks, reduce cost, and streamline the brand marketing functions
- Manage processes, recruitment, structure and activities of all functions within brand marketing
- Develop a framework for knowledge and asset sharing with internal and external stakeholders
- Provides support in making important policy, planning and strategic decisions
- Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale ensuring that all team members have the resources, tool and training they need to be effective.
- Ensure processes are being followed and that teams are facilitated to continuously improve these processes
- Negotiates contracts for advertising, marketing, and promotions.
- Monitors internal costs and competition pricing to develop pricing and discounting strategies.
- Project management of tradeshows, customer events and other major internal events including the annual sales meeting and team offsites
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or other related field. Masters Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in equivalent experience, specifically in project management, process/quality control and resource planning/allocation.
- Experience leading a team of direct reports is required.
- Certifications : Lean six sigma and/or Agile preferred
- Prior experience with project management software (such as Wrike) is preferred.
- Ability to successfully manage complex projects across cross functional teams and vendors
