Summary:
Under limited supervision, responsible for working with IT support providers to provide the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions (Applications, Infrastructure, IT Security/Compliance) for the company and its multiple sites.
Responsibilities:

Oversee communication and customer/client relationships with IT support providers to ensure the services meet end-users’ and regulatory requirements as well as the support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions.

Coordinate with It support providers to ensure overall system stability and implement tactical approaches as well as drive strategic improvements.

Coordinate overall security, regulatory and data privacy compliance, by aligning with internal and external requirements, and ensure that these systems are appropriately compliant.

Monitor IT service providers including, but not limited to, measuring, reporting, and tracking end-user’s satisfaction, measuring, reporting, and tracking service performance.

Assist in identifying, developing, coordinating, and implementing initiatives/projects, and IT activities that create efficiencies, improve IT service quality, and increase IT security.

Coordinate with IT Support Providers’ controls (release, change, incident reporting, problem management, etc.) to ensure coherent processes and sustainable results.

Document and implement internal IT policies and procedures adhering to internal and external rules and regulations and provide training to end-users as required.

Deliver comprehensive communications to management regarding the IT status and activities in both written and presentation form.

Monitor overall IT activities to ensure excellent support, both technical and non-technical, with outstanding customer service and end user satisfaction in a timely manner.

Assist in developing and implementing Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans.

Assist with audits conducted by parent company and implement changes as required.
Job Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer technology, or a similar field.
-
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT environment with progressive roles.

Proficiency in computer hardware, software, cabling, installation, networking, and security
-
Excellent coordination and organizational skills.
-
Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
-
Multi-tasking and time-management skills
-
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical personnel.

50% travel required.
-
Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
Physical Activities Required To Perform Essential Job Functions:
Lift and carry 20 pounds occasionally. Communicate by speech and hearing continuously. Write by hand and keyboard. Movement within office complex. Communicate by telephone and in person. Visual acuity needed for computer use, and reading of documents, schematics, and drawings.
Mental Activities Required To Perform Essential Job Functions:
Moderate English reading and writing, and math skills. Ability to learn, memorize, and then accurately follow established procedures for routine or recurring tasks. Must be meticulously accurate in maintaining alpha numeric files, and in performing "self-reviews" of his or her own work.

For California only (as required by California’s Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act (SB 1162): The expected rate for this position in our California office is $88,000 - $130,000. Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi America’s variable pay program, subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
