About the Team
The Stitch Fix IT team is committed to creating a fulfilling and inspiring place to work for all of the people who deliver that client experience – from our warehouse team to technical talent to merchants to stylists. We pride ourselves on creating a fun and collaborative environment where we solve problems together. We are looking for smart, kind and goal-oriented technical leaders to join our team.
About the Role
As the IT Support Specialist, you will help take the IT team at Stitch Fix to the next level, a truly unique opportunity, while growing your own skills and creating an amazing work experience for your colleagues. It’s your primary role to support the day-to-day distribution center operation while assisting remote users, on-boarding new employees, tracking equipment, building documentation, and emphasizing superior support models.
You will be IT’s eyes and ears on the ground, directly supporting our San Francisco location while remotely supporting offices, distribution centers, engineers, and stylists as we grow across all U.S.. time zones. You will be your best self while maintaining the team’s integrity and responsibility to the business.
You’ll assist coworkers at all levels and disciplines. It’s true, much of your time will be spent on setting up accounts and computers for new hires, but we want you to grow and excel too. You’ll certainly help with repairs, asset tracking, authentication (password resets, our favorite), installing software, AV questions, and creating self-service documentation, just to name just a few.
Occasional urgent, on-call, and weekend support will be required. This position may require some minimal travel to assist with projects and support at other remote sites.
Stitch Fix distribution centers are primarily a macOS and Chromebook-based operation, with an evolving iOS presence too. You will support this diverse operation in concert with assistance from local and remote resources while prioritizing support requests with on-site managers and remote IT team members based out of our San Francisco HQ.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Embrace the daily challenges of assisting users within a large distribution center facility.
- Maintain wired and wireless network connections and diagnose connectivity issues working with remote network engineering team members. Familiarity with Cisco Meraki cloud dashboard, MR wireless access points, MS switches, and MX security appliances, or equivalent hands-on experience of at least one year.
- Support macOS and iOS devices with two to three years of in-depth deployment and support experience. Be ready to demonstrate experience with the latest versions of macOS
- Help establish and maintain a comprehensive inventory and asset tracking system for our warehouse operations.
- Be familiar with JAMF Pro and Apple DEP workflows – minimum one-year hands-on experience using JAMF to deploy and manage Macs and iOS devices.
- Demonstrate comfort daily with ChromeOS, Chromebooks, and occasional Windows support.
- Help establish best practices for ChromeOS management across all warehouse sites.
- Keep tickets happy and fed – we are a Freshservice operation, other experiences welcome.
- Love AV and VOIP – experience with Zoom, and VOIP phones useful, but not a deal-breaker. Maintain equipment, install updates, and assist with the setup of large meetings.
- Remotely support users – knowledge of screen sharing tools such as TeamViewer and ConnectWise.
- Provision new users, onboard new hires, print access key cards and configure systems for an amazing day-one experience.
- Maintain networked time clocks.
- Setup and support local and networked printers.
- Manage physical access control and security camera systems.
- Show a positive outlook (not Outlook) and humor – make IT nothing less than an immersive, atypical experience for all of our co-workers.
- Mentor and assist co-workers and vendors for continuity of policies and procedures instituted by our team.
We’re excited about you because…
- You love Macs and appreciate a choice in OS and different technologies.
- Your knowledge and personal interactions make you approachable by all levels of co-workers.
- You will communicate clearly and effectively in writing ticket updates and verbally in person and to remote users.
- You’re capable of flying high and being a strategic player in one breath and flying low and diving into the weeds the next.
- You will thrive in high-volume, fast-paced and feedback-driven environments.
- You’re highly self-motivated, have a stellar work ethic and you’re looking for the right company to support your growth.
- Above all else, you are bright, kind and motivated by challenge.
