So what does a Finance Analyst really do? Think of yourself as someone who will be responsible for the recording and reconciliation of revenue based on Revenue Recognition Policies. Acts and assists as a point person for all audit requests; mitigates potential control failure by conducting root-cause analysis, identifying process breakdown of internal controls. We make sure we get the best of the best, after all, we are a ridiculously good company so we make sure our employees are top-notch. Now we need your full concentration because it’s time to imagine what it’s like being a Finance Analyst.
As a Finance Analyst, you will ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close. Manages and analyzes accrual recordings vis-a-vis revenue forecast, deferrals, and other related financial reporting schedules (revenue & accounts receivable concentrated). You will monitor compliance and timely execution of month-end/quarter-end/year-end closing activities of the entities.
As a Finance Analyst, you will:

Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Prepare financial & management reports for use by management and other departments.

Perform financial analysis required by management and other departments.
-
Conduct monthly financial reports with department leaders and align them with their current financial performance.

Guide different Department leaders in preparation of budget.

Perform analysis of the submitted budget ensuring alignment with financial plans and targets.

Communicate and suggest all necessary adjustments with department leaders.

Coordinate with department leaders to gather data for change in plan as a result of trend change.

Prepare financial forecasts based on past, current, and forecasted trends and financial conditions.

Measure accuracy of forecast by comparing against actuals and identify reasons for variance.

Develop frontends for self-service reports and dashboards for management reporting products through enterprise applications such as Google Suite and PowerBI.

Increase productivity by automating reports and processes.

Collaborate with global finance teams understanding end to end processes as needed for process improvement.

Identify cost items that could be optimized considering both quantitative and qualitative aspects through analysis of trends and variance, and process checks.

Approve or reject unbudgeted cost requests from different departments which may be due to change in trends. Suggest better solutions for rejected items.

Identify risks on processes of different departments and setup controls that are necessary in achieving the organization’s financial goals.

Report to management opportunities identified from financial and operational analyses.

Provide support to different departments for all their financial requests. Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in processes and materials

Report the results of the cost optimization efforts. Replicate best practices with other departments that can benefit from it.

Prepare ad hoc reports required by management and external stakeholders for decision making.

Align and globalize processes that vary per region.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or any Business-related or IT background

Strong fluency with excel formulas and functions (Advance Excel)

Successfully designed and implemented a project that resulted in process efficiency or enhanced controls
-
3+ years of experience in Finance & Accounting
