The ALLO Brand Connections Internship is a summer paid program designed for students to gain hands-on experience in event management, community engagement, and public relations while working with a leading telecommunications company. Interns will collaborate with experienced professionals and gain exposure to various aspects of our marketing, public relations, and event management operations. This program offers an exciting opportunity to work on impactful events throughout Nebraska and Colorado. Travel is required for this position.
Program Highlights:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in planning and executing events to engage local communities in Nebraska and Colorado

• Collaborate with ALLO's marketing, public relations, and digital experience teams to execute event strategies

• Help manage logistics, materials, and support for event execution

• Attend ALLO events, promoting our core values and engaging with the community

• Contribute to the creative process by brainstorming ideas to enhance events and community engagement

• Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including research and event coordination

• Stay informed on the latest best practices and industry standards in Public Relations and event management.

• Ensure events align with ALLO’s brand values and community initiatives

• Assist in preparing event reports and summarizing feedback to improve future events.

• Demonstrate excellent customer relations skills when interacting with customers, local market influencers, and the public

• Be reliable, dependable, and punctual in event-related duties

• Communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) with internal teams and external stakeholders

• Support the team in efforts that drive ALLO’s sales and brand presence

Colorado Residents: typical pay range for this role will be from $18 to $20 per hour depending on experience.

EDUCATION:

• Currently pursuing a degree in event management, public relations, marketing, telecommunications, or a related field

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in Spanish is a plus

• Passionate about supporting local communities and driving positive engagement

• A creative thinker with the ability to contribute fresh ideas to the event planning process

• Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other communication tools

• Dependable and trustworthy with a strong work ethic; positive, proactive, and eager to learn

• Willingness to travel within Nebraska and Colorado to support events

REQUIREMENTS:

• Raise objects up to 25 lbs.

• Remain stationary for extended periods

• Ability to communicate information

• Ability to operate a computer

• Possess/maintain a Valid Driver's License
