Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Informa Markets is looking for a talented and motivated Assistant Marketing and Communications Manager to join our Beauty Portfolio team, focusing primarily on the upcoming Beauty Ingredients & Formulations Awards (BIFA). This role is integral to our event and conference marketing efforts, requiring a candidate with a proven track record in managing events, conferences and awards from conception to execution.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead Conference Planning and On-site Production Management: Oversee the complete planning process for the Beauty Ingredients & Formulations Awards (BIFA), ensuring all aspects align with strategic goals.
- Topic Development and Speaker Recruitment: Identify and create relevant and engaging conference topics that resonate with current trends in the beauty industry, ensuring content is timely and valuable. Actively source and secure industry-leading speakers who can provide insights and expertise, enhancing the conference program's credibility and appeal.
- Content and Marketing Strategy Development: Develop and implement innovative content marketing strategies designed to enhance brand visibility and drive attendance to the conference. Produce compelling marketing collateral, including brochures, email campaigns, and social media content, to effectively promote the conference and engage the target audience.
- Sponsorship Initiatives and Relationship Management: Drive the identification and recruitment of potential sponsors for the conference, crafting tailored proposals that highlight the benefits of partnership. Foster and maintain strong relationships with sponsors and partners, ensuring ongoing engagement and maximizing revenue opportunities.
- On-site Production Management and Collaboration and Support: Oversee all logistical elements of the conference execution, ensuring seamless experience for attendees, speakers, and sponsors. Work closely with internal teams to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives and support the marketing needs for Cosmoprof exhibitions.
- Perform other related tasks and duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the broader marketing and conference management efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or related field;
- Past experience working in biology and pharmaceutical companies are in advantage.
- Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience in conference marketing and content marketing.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese is a must
- Experience in exhibition/event media will be an advantage
- Cooperative, flexible and initiative
- Able to multi-task under tight deadlines
- Eager to learn and take up new tasks
