The Job:

As a Assistant Manager, Regional Procurement Management (PTA - Sourced Products) you will be a key member of GSM Procurement Operations team, responsible for driving Supply Chain Continuity & Sourcing Strategy Execution within Southeast Asia (SEA), particularly in Vietnam. This role will also involve providing critical support to our Vietnam plant, ensure seamless procurement operation and alignment with global objectives.

This position focuses on Bits and Sets material sourcing.

This position is hybrid with a total of 40 working hours per work. You are required to be onsite in our plant in VSIP 1 Binh Duong in 3 days, and 2 days WFH or HCMC Office.

You’ll get to:

  • Ensure supply chain continuity by proactively managing risks, mitigating disruptions, and maintaining robust supplier relationships.
  • Collaborate with Global Supply Chain, Planning and Quality team to drive suppliers’ on time readiness (OTR) to achieve UFR (unit fill rate) for our customers.
  • Support the Vietnam plant by ensuring timely procurement of materials, resolving supply chain issues, and optimizing local supplier performance.
  • Support and execute the regional procurement strategy for Southeast Asia, ensuring alignment with global goals and objectives.
  • Drive sourcing activities, including RFx processes, negotiations, and supplier selection, to deliver target productivity and working capital improvement through procurement initiatives, while achieving world class cost and margin enhancement (TCO Improvement).
  • Act as the local representative for global affiliates, leading and managing supplier relationships within the region.
  • Foster a collaborative environment with cross function teams, including those in North America, Europe as well as Latin America and Asia.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and improve efficiency.

Education: Engineering degree in a relevant field (Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering preferred).

Experience:

  • 05 - 08 years of experience in global strategic sourcing, procurement and supplier management, preferably within the manufacturing or mechanical components sector.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, costing, and materials management

Skills / Personalities:

  • Ability to work independently and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with proficiency in English.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving and project management capabilities.
  • Personal drive, high energy, and a collaborative team spirit.
  • Global exposure: Experience working with global and diverse teams, particularly with USA, is highly desirable.
