The Impact:

The Data Excellence (DX) Automation Member will play a critical role in ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and automation across key datasets, including ESG, Dividend & Thematic, Fundamentals, and Market Data. This role involves designing and implementing automation solutions using Python, SQL, and Power BI, managing data mastering processes, and supporting daily operational workflows. The ideal candidate will collaborate with global teams, contribute to automation projects, and ensure smooth execution of data processing, validation, and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Automation Development: Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using Python, SQL, and Power BI to enhance data processing across ESG, Dividend & Thematic, Fundamentals, and Market Data workflows.
  • Data Validation & Discrepancy Resolution: Identify and resolve data mismatches across multiple sources by analyzing discrepancies, cross-referencing databases, and ensuring data consistency.
  • Mastering Data & Sources: Develop expertise in key data sources, industry-specific datasets, and reference/master data management to ensure the highest quality in reporting and analytics.
  • Monitor and execute daily/weekly automated workflows, ensuring timely delivery and data accuracy.
  • Conduct preliminary data quality checks before critical data delivery deadlines.
  • Perform historical data reviews and corrections, ensuring consistency over time.Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in existing processes and propose automation enhancements to optimize operations.
  • Collaboration & Integration: Work closely with global teams and stakeholders to align automation solutions with business needs and evolving data requirements.
  • Data Management & Quality Control: Ensure consistency and accuracy in data used for reporting, analytics, and decision-making.
  • Governance & Compliance: Adhere to internal policies, data governance best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain clear documentation of automation processes and provide training to other team members.

What we are looking for:

•  Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL for data extraction, transformation, and manipulation.
  • Experience with Power BI (or other visualization tools) for reporting and dashboard development.
  • Familiarity with APIs and data integration methods is a plus.

•  Data Mastery:

  • Ability to analyze large datasets, detect discrepancies, and investigate mismatches using multiple sources.
  • Experience in reconciling datasets, validating inputs, and ensuring alignment with reference/master data.
  • Understanding of ESG, Dividend & Thematic, Fundamentals, and Market Data processes and challenges

•  Domain Knowledge: Understanding of ESG, Dividend & Thematic, Fundamentals, and Market Data is a strong advantage.

•  Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to analyze complex data processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop automation solutions.

•  Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with global teams and stakeholders.

•  Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and reliability in automated processes and data outputs.

•  Adaptability & Learning Agility: Willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and industry best practices.

•  Experience: 1–3 years in data automation, data engineering, or a related field is preferred.
