Analyst, Accounting & Administration

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Analyst, Accounting & Administration to join our finance team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the seamless execution of day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting and finance, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams in a fast-growing company.

What You'll Do

Payroll & Employee Compensation

  • Prepare and process payroll data, including timecards, expense reimbursements, benefits-in-kind, and special payments.
  • Ensure accurate new employee setup, including collecting 101 forms, employee personal data, and coordinating with the pension agent.
  • Manage the collection and submission of pension and study fund forms to the payroll vendor.

Accounts Payable & Vendor Management

  • Oversee the preparation and processing of purchase orders.
  • Assist with accounts payable and invoice collection to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Manage and oversee the preparation and approval of weekly vendor payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Support the monthly and quarterly financial close process, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
  • Execute and maintain key internal controls, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and other relevant financial regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analyses to support decision-making.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Improvement

  • Work closely with various teams within the finance department, acting as an analytical focal point for data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement automation to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support various finance and payroll-related tasks and reporting requirements as needed.

What You'll Need

  • Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field required. Professional accounting certification like CPA preferred.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in operational accounting, payroll, or financial reporting.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change, enhance processes, and implement scalable, automated solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills and accuracy in handling financial data and reporting.
