We are looking for an energetic and passionate finance professional that will further improve the quality and effectiveness of financial controlling, statutory and tax compliance agenda in the Eastern Europe & Mediterranean Front Line of 16 countries.
The core part of the role will be also to build a learning and continuous improvement culture with focus on processes optimization, knowledge retention and business continuity.
Head of Financial Controlling, EEM will also work in close collaboration with finance GPOs, KONE Business Services and finance operations partner(s) and ensures that KONE Financial Controlling processes and improvement initiatives are implemented in EEM frontline in line with applicable policies and process blueprints.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads Financial Controlling activities in the FL including strategic transformation and development of financial controlling teams across 16 countries.
- Supervises month end closing process and ensures accuracy of the financial and cash flow information as well as continuous process improvements.
- Works closely with respective Regional Finance Managers (6 regions) on improving controls and Financial controlling process quality.
- Builds constant improvement and learning culture, with clear processes to sustain these.
- Provides mentorship and development opportunities to financial controlling teams.
- Ensures that Financial Controlling teams in the countries manage financial controlling, external audit, statutory and tax compliance process in an effective and efficient manner.
- Monitors and evaluates accounting policies, systems and procedures and ensure they support the achievement of strategic objectives.
- Monitors related KPIs and leads the actions to improve these.
- Supports the internal audit program activities within the Units.
- Constantly provides training and coaching to financial controlling teams to improve their knowledge and efficiency.
- Leads assigned projects.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a financial controller or from audit or from relevant Financial controlling domain in consulting and experience from people leadership positions
- Experience from cross-country projects aimed at strategically improving quality of financial controlling.
- Ability to operate in fast changing and matrix environment.
- Relevant education, CPA or other equivalent qualification is an asset.
- Very good technical skills (e.g. proficiency in MS Excel, experience with SAP or equivalent systems, fluency in data warehouse related tools).
- Excellent knowledge of Tax regulations and local GAAP and IFRS .
- Experience in process improvement methodologies (e.g. LEAN Six Sigma) is an asset.
- Very good knowledge of English.
