Job Description:
The Accounting Manager will manage the ERP localization by acting as Key user, support Champion business transformation in Benelux and perform various finance tasks related to the local entity being fully responsible for Benelux customers AR process from defining customer, to issuing invoices and collecting debts while also supporting Global Team with AP & basic tax tasks.
What are we looking for?
- Post-secondary diploma in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 5 years’ directly related work experience in an accounting capacity covering Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable and basic tax reports (Intrastat, Sales Listing); or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- Computer competency with ERP systems, including good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheet programs and applications
- Accurately calculate, post, correct and manage accounting figures, organize and maintain financial records, and perform moderate to complex accounting reconciliations
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude and team building skills
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks, projects simultaneously.
- Fluent in English and Dutch, both written and spoken
What will be your key responsibilities?
Local tasks:
- Responsible for Benelux market accounts receivable process – customer intake and credit worthiness, invoices issue, collections, account reconciliations
- Post/Reconcile cash receipts, credit notes, and invoices to either Customer Accounts or the General Ledger
- Prepare weekly bank deposit with associated journal entries, ensuring the deposit is made in a timely fashion
- Coordinate together with Sales Representative & Logistic Coordinator the Return Authorization/claims from Benelux customers

- Prepare and submit basic tax reports – Intrastat, Sales Listing, VAT reports
- Participate in the system development to localize current ERP
Global support
- Handle basic Accounts Payable related tasks for the Netherlands entity like postings to General Ledger and different reconciliations
- Perform month-end processes, ensuring completeness in line with period cut-offs
- Assist global controlling team with month-end closing, accurately and in a timely fashion
- Perform other tasks as required or assigned in relation to regular finance activities
- Develop and maintain successful professional working relationships externally, i.e., customers and accounting/tax professionals, as well as internally, i.e., sales and marketing members, logistic team and other Company staff members, in order to manage job functions efficiently
