As a Workday Architect, you will partner with clients and internal teams to ensure that clients get the maximum value from their Workday investment. You will play a key role in implementing and supporting Workday initiatives across the HCM module(s), working independently, collaboratively, or in a leadership capacity. Your expertise and customer-focused approach will drive success by building strong client relationships and delivering top-tier service.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, test, and deploy Workday solutions for a diverse, global customer base. Implement business requirements across various Workday HCM module(s) while adapting to changing client needs.
  • Lead working sessions to gather, understand, and analyze client requirements. Assess client needs, recommend solutions, and propose process improvements to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to projects of medium to high complexity. Manage and prioritize competing demands across multiple, concurrent clients within your area(s) of expertise.
  • Share insights from prior experiences and advise clients on Workday best practices, promoting process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Manage project scope, quality, and timelines for your domain. Guide and mentor team members, ensuring high-quality delivery through collaboration and review.
  • Research and resolve complex client challenges, presenting and implementing solutions. Encourage team input to offer alternative approaches where applicable.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge management by sharing best practices, delivering insights, and fostering continuous learning within the organization.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of their technical and consulting skills.
  • Innovate new approaches to Workday deployment for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop a broad understanding of Workday touch points, dependencies, and integration areas across different modules.
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability in all aspects of your work, reflecting the company’s core values.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in leading or supporting Workday implementations, Post Production/AMS services, or as a client user of Workday.
  • In-depth knowledge of Workday HCM Core, Security, and Reporting, plus expertise in at least one additional Workday module (e.g., Advanced Compensation, Payroll, Recruiting, Talent, Time Tracking, Absence, Learning, Benefits, Prism, BIRT).
  • Proven ability to lead medium to large-scale projects through the full lifecycle—from planning and scoping to discovery, design, testing, and go-live.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, in both leadership and support roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and ensure timely, high-quality project deliverables with minimal supervision.
  • Strong client focus with proven success in building relationships, understanding client needs, and delivering high satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage clients and colleagues in a remote environment.
  • Proven consulting skills, capable of influencing diverse audiences and guiding discussions to successful outcomes.
  • Willingness and ability to mentor and guide less experienced consultants.
  • Adaptable to fast-paced environments with the ability to navigate frequent change.
  • Ability to travel as needed (<5% annually).
