The VP of Product Marketing at Drata will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s go-to-market strategy and driving business growth. Reporting to Drata’s Chief Operations Officer in the interim, this strategic leader will be instrumental in ensuring our product positioning and messaging resonate with target audiences and align with the needs of a rapidly evolving security and compliance market.
As a key member of the marketing leadership team, you will collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, Sales, Business Development, and Product teams to deliver world-class marketing initiatives. This role offers the unique opportunity to lead a high-performing team of product marketing professionals while maintaining a hands-on approach to ensure flawless execution and impactful results.

What you’ll do:
- Develop and refine product positioning and messaging that uniquely differentiates Drata’s security and compliance automation platform in the market
- Lead cross functional, go-to-market efforts with clear product positioning and messaging to attract, grow and retain new and existing customers
- Partner with the Product, Marketing (e.g. Demand Gen, Content, Brand), Customer Success and Data teams to track the right metrics and execute campaigns that drive awareness, adoption, and revenue on an ongoing basis
- Conduct market research to gain a deep understanding of customer needs, pain points, use cases, and the competitive landscape. Use these insights to inform product roadmap strategy and development
- Build and deliver effective sales tools, like presentations, collateral and demos, to equip all customer-facing teams with what they need to win the market.
- Develop pricing & packaging strategies for each of our market segments that encapsulate demand for product and drive customer value; then continuously test and iterate
- Build out scalable infrastructure on the PMM team to ensure repeatability and efficiency for product launches; develop playbooks to set the team up for success
- Lead our Analyst Relations program, providing a deep understanding of our industry landscape, how we differentiate, and how we advance our category and design leadership
- Build and lead a team of excellent product marketers and ensure the team is enabled to perform at their best and has opportunities for advancement and career growth
- Define product marketing analytics and requirements needed; build lifecycle marketing programs and other touch points that increase engagement and value at every step of the customer journey
- Identify and evaluate opportunities to expand Drata’s market reach and customer base
- Support the growth of partner ecosystem, community, and other key initiatives that help create value for our customers
What you’ll bring:
- 10+ years of experience in B2B or B2C, with an emphasis in product marketing functions; 5+ years of experience in SaaS; experience in security or developer tools a plus
- Demonstrated success launching new products and features in a SaaS environment; you can talk about the metrics behind the launch, and know how to coach a team towards them
- Experience leading and growing a team of talented PMM’s and building playbooks from the ground up; you know the product marketing function from A to Z, from competitor research to pricing & packaging
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex messages and speak to the right audience; you’ll be working with sales, product and talking to customers everyday
- Experience delivering value to multiple types of customers through different sales and product motions; from orchestrating and experimenting with product-led motions and self-checkout experiences, to selling to large enterprise customers
- The ability to move very fast, and coach a team to do the same
- Deep experience using necessary marketing technology, including segment, hubspot, salesforce, google analytics, CMS & more
- Must be motivated by working with awesome people in a high energy, fast-paced environment, and dedicated to helping take Drata to the next level
