The Opportunity:
PureSpectrum is seeking a Verbatim Analyst to analyse and deliver cleaned open-ended text responses from surveys. The Verbatim Analyst will check all client data files (Excel) and meet the client quality standards within the given timelines. You will be primarily responsible for the verbatim quality of the surveys.
Your Responsibilities:
- Review verbatims for quality, compliance, and best practices. Effectively manage timelines to deliver quality results on time.
- Flag language inconsistencies, typos, and irrelevant responses, including gibberish, profanity, nonsensical content, low-quality responses, and fraudulent patterns across multiple interviews.
- Flag and code the reason for the removal of responses using predefined categories or frameworks (manual or assisted by tools).
- Flag potentially sensitive or inappropriate content for escalation.
- Work closely with project managers and data analysts to ensure quality standards.
- Provide feedback on recurring patterns in responses or survey design that may impact data quality.
- Assist in building or refining verbatim coding frameworks and taxonomies.
- Collaborate with the Team Lead to prepare client standards, process-related documentation, and training materials.
- Help maintain the metrics of all surveys.
- Able to analyze survey data and provide necessary suggestions to Project Managers and Survey Programmers to improve survey quality.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and developments.
- Build positive relationships across the organization and with clients.
Requirements:
- Graduate or Postgraduate from any recognized University or equivalent education preferably English literature.
- Knowledge of the Market Research Industry will be preferred.
- Ability to work on multiple surveys/projects with competing priorities.
- Must possess strong logical, analytical skills and out-of-the-box thinking.
- Able to communicate in a clear and concise manner; this includes being comfortable engaging with onsite project managers, Survey Programmers, and Data Analysts.
- Excellent communication and language skills
- Good knowledge of Windows, Office (word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook etc.), any text editor is a must.
- Experience in excel using advanced formulas and excel automations (Macros) is a plus.
- A passion for curiosity and a drive to always be learning.
- Ability to foster positive relationships across teams and customers.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required.
