General Description:
This position reports to the Industrial Security Manager and will perform a variety of duties to assist the HRL security team in the operation and maintenance of secure areas located across HRL’s campuses. Candidates will be required to escort uncleared personnel while always maintaining visual and auditory contact.
Essential Duties:
Escort within secure areas in support of facility improvements and routine maintenance.
Respond to secure area alarms as needed.
Complete administrative tasks associated with visitor entry and exit procedures.
Report to the Industrial Security Manager events requiring management oversight and attention.
Conduct inspections of personnel and material.
Other tasks as assigned.
Required Skills:
Self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
Superb time management skills.
Ability to plan, schedule and arrange activities to accomplish objectives.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Proficiency with Service Now or other similar ticketing applications.
Ability to problem solve.
Superb interpersonal skills.
Secure area escorting procedures
Working knowledge of ICD 705 and 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) is preferred.
Experience with the use and management of physical security (IDS, access control, cameras) systems.
Required Education:
Minimum 1 year experience working within secure areas.
Prior experience in military, law enforcement, or security is required.
Completion of DCSA CDSE FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit and use computer equipment for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift and/or carry 30 pounds.
Ability to traverse construction sites.
Ability to utilize a ladder.
Special Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen
Must possess and maintain a current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility. Must be able to successfully pass a polygraph examination.
Candidate must be able to work various shifts to include weekends as required.
Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $82,400 - $103,053 + bonus + benefits.
