The Role
The database market is massive (the IDC estimates it to be $119B+ in 2025!) and CockroachDB is a leader for large-scale distributed SQL workloads. We're seeking a detail-oriented Training Coordinator to orchestrate both our customer training program and internal technical enablement initiatives. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on creating seamless educational experiences through meticulous planning and flawless execution. You'll be the organizational backbone of our Education team, ensuring that both our customers and internal teams receive high-quality training experiences that drive adoption and excellence in working with CockroachDB. You will:
- Manage end-to-end coordination of customer training programs, from initial scheduling through delivery and follow-up
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer training logistics, coordinating between account teams, instructors, and customer stakeholders
- Drive completion of training prerequisites and preparatory steps for all participants
- Coordinate and track our internal technical enablement program, including new hire onboarding and quarterly release training
- Maintain and optimize training scheduling processes and documentation
- Monitor training metrics and create regular reports on program effectiveness
- Manage training environment setup and access for both customer and internal training sessions
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders across Product, Solutions & Services, and Revenue teams
The Expectations
First 30 days:
- Master our training coordination processes and tools, including Salesforce integration
- Begin managing the logistics for upcoming customer training sessions
- Familiarize yourself with our internal technical enablement program structure
- Build relationships with key stakeholders across the organization
- Shadow several training sessions to understand delivery requirements
First 3 months:
- Independently manage all aspects of customer training coordination
- Implement improvements to our training coordination processes
- Begin coordinating our internal technical enablement program
- Create automated solutions for tracking training metrics and participant progress
- Establish yourself as the go-to person for all training logistics questions
You Have
- 2-3+ years of experience in coordination (training/recruiting/events) or project management
- Strong proficiency with calendar management and spreadsheet software
- Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Experience coordinating complex schedules across multiple time zones
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Experience with learning management systems preferred
- Background in technical training or software industry preferred
The Team
- This role reports to Shannon Bradshaw, VP of Education. Shannon is an experienced leader of technical documentation, customer training, and internal technical enablement teams.
- Cockroach Labs has a centralized Education team that is part of the Product Division. Education works closely with a number of other teams to develop educational resources.
- The Education team is expanding to meet growing demand for both customer training and internal enablement, with new technical training resources being added alongside this role.

The annual anticipated base salary range for U.S. candidates for this role is listed in USD below. Salary is one component of the Cockroach Labs’ Total Rewards package, which also includes, for each employee: stock options, medical insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, life and disability insurance, funds towards professional development resources, flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays a year, 10 paid sick days a year, paid parental leave, a 401(k) plan, and wellbeing benefits.
We set standard ranges for all U.S.-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Actual salaries may vary and fall outside of this range depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, geographic location, skills, experience, and competencies. In addition, we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted.
Salaries for candidates outside the U.S. will vary based on local compensation structures.
