Your Impact on our Mission

Zocdoc’s most important asset is our people.  As a Senior Manager of Business Development you’ll be responsible for creating and managing strategic partnerships critical to Zocdoc’s growth. This role will initiate and negotiate new partnerships, as well as grow and develop ongoing partner relationships, with an initial focus on our interoperability partners (i.e. EHRs). The ideal candidate has a proven track record of successfully managing partnerships with large companies and demonstrates an ability to think strategically about complex business issues and recommend and execute strategic action plans. This role will be responsible for coordinating cross functional partnerships in collaboration with various teams across the organization like product, engineering, marketing, sales, finance, legal, and leadership. This role will be reporting to the Senior Director of Business Development.

Your day to day is…

  • Full ownership of partner pipeline: Identify, structure, negotiate, amend, close and manage strategic deals 
  • Managing an extensive prospective partner pipeline from end to end 
  • Collaborating with product, engineering, marketing, legal, finance and Zocdoc leadership to deliver scalable and beneficial partnerships 
  • Serving as the ‘go to‘ person for the partners’ needs, defining and executing on the long-term partner relationship, as well as knowing which partnerships to deprioritize 
  • Communicating the value propositions and key areas of alignment between key technology providers in Healthcare (e.g. EHRs, channel partners, etc.) and Zocdoc
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of partner-related commitments
  • Understanding the technology behind the Zocdoc platform, and the technical solutions needed for key partnerships 
  • Keeping abreast of developments and trends (technological, commercial and regulatory) in Healthcare
  • Aligning closely with other Zocdoc departments in order to best identify and pursue new partnership opportunities
  • Representing Zocdoc at industry events and in response to partner opportunities 


You’ll be successful in this role if you have…

  • 7+ years of business development and/or strategic partnerships' experience. Healthcare experience a plus but not essential
  • A proven ability to build and maintain relationships with leadership/C-Suite executives, both internally and externally 
  • Sales experience (preferred), with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills required
  • Superb communication skills. You believe in keeping all of your stakeholders in the loop and know that multiple mediums of communication are the key to success
  • The ability to work independently and as an individual contributor with minimal oversight
  • Experience in people management is a plus but not essential.

Zocdoc is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Salary ranges are determined through alignment with market data. Base salary offered is determined by a number of factors including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and skills. Certain positions are also eligible for variable pay and/or equity; your recruiter will discuss the full compensation package details.

NYC Base Salary Range

$170,000$240,000 USD
