We are looking for a Software Testing Trainee to join our Quality Assurance team at Trimble in Espoo. This role is for applicants interested in the construction area. We hope you will be able to start in May/June and work until the end of August. You would work in our Espoo office.

The Quality Assurance Organization is a diverse and international team of experienced professionals working in various software testing activities. We ensure the continuous software development work for our world class products. We have a strong culture of hiring summer trainees and helping them become professionals. 

What You Will Do

In this role, you will have the opportunity to participate in and learn about software testing principles and hands-on solutions in a collaborative and innovative environment. You will gain experience in Tekla Structures manual testing and explore various aspects of our product offerings within the Structures business area. Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing manual testing of new features and existing functionalities to identify and document defects.
• Collaborating with the development team to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability and usability.
• Creating and executing detailed test cases and test plans based on software specifications.
• Reporting and tracking bugs using our issue tracking system, and verifying fixes as they are implemented.
• Learning and applying best practices in software quality assurance.
• Participating in team meetings and contributing to continuous improvement of our testing processes.
• Assisting in the preparation of test environments and maintaining test data.
• Learning more about quality control mechanisms and product development processes.
• Carrying out supervised tasks and guided individual projects.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

• Genuine interest to learn our software products, new industry, our tools and methods
• An open mind with positive and flexible attitude
• Ability to learn fast
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Studies are in civil/structural engineering
• ​Any Tekla Structures knowledge is an advantage.

You will be based in our brand new office in Espoo. It is only a 5 min walk from Leppävaara train station to our office. We have flexible working hours and hybrid work.
