Your Title: Trainee, Software Architect
Job Location: Espoo (Leppävaara), Finland
Our Department: BIM & Engineering (Structures), Architecture team

Are you passionate about software development and eager to learn alongside our team of talented software engineers and architects? In this position you will learn to contribute to our large codebase that powers Tekla Structures, our flagship building information modeling software.  

We are looking for a trainee for 3-4 months to join our Software Architecture team at Trimble in Espoo. We hope you will be able to start in May and work until the end of August.

What You Will Do
 

Based on your skills and interests we can provide you with a project topic in some of the following areas we are working on

• Modularizing codebase to make it more reusable, testable and easier to work with
• Improving performance so our users can smoothly work with large models like skyscrapers
• Implement software that runs on Azure/Amazon cloud
• Participate in the development of our AI assistants
• Participate in innovative projects regarding data sharing and data management.

After summer internship many of our trainees have also continued in the company and finished their master thesis here. 

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

• Experience and interest in programming(C++/C# preferred)
• Excellent problem solving ability
• Fluent English language skills
• Strong  team working skills.

About Your Location
You will be based in our brand new office in Espoo. It is only a 5 min walk from Leppävaara train station to our office. We have flexible working hours and a hybrid working model.
