Pernod Ricard Netherlands focuses on the sales of our brands in the Netherlands and is part of Pernod Ricard Benelux.

PURPOSE

The Trade Marketing (TM) Manager is responsible for the development of the brands in On-Trade channel in the Netherlands. This role serves as a crucial link between sales and marketing, ensuring effective communication and execution of brand strategies. The TM Manager will translate brand strategies and assets into best-in-class channel plans, supporting both short-term and long-term business development through strong plans in presence, visibility and activation. TM Manager will be responsible for ideation, alignment and implementation of the defined plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES

CHANNEL MANAGEMENT AND ACTIVATION

  • Translate the Marketing Brand Plans into channel plans in close collaboration with the Head of Trade Marketing, Brand Managers (BM), Field Sales Managers (FSM), and Key Account Managers (KAMs).

  • Define and implement the trade marketing initiatives to support the sell-out, drive trial on our brands and build the brand awareness/engagement in the channel.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define KPIs on the RPVAA (Presence, Visibility, Activation & Amplification) for a good resource allocation and field sales activities definition.

  • Design and execute on-trade activations and events that engage consumers and elevate the brand experience, always in close collaboration with BMs and activations agencies.

  • Lead the brand ambassador team to drive trial and increase GIH.

  • Identify key on-trade partners & stakeholders to engage relationships and create mutually beneficial marketing initiatives (festivals, iconic venues, big events)

  • Responsible for On-trade POSM (planification, production, follow-up with FSM) and tailormade visibility in the on-trade channel.

  • Provide training and education to the FS team and key on-trade customers (bartenders, bar managers) and implement the brand incentive programs.

BUDGET & KPIS

  • Be the data expert, developing, following, and leveraging data analysis to improve activities and processes.

  • Manage and follow up on activity budgets.

  • Support and facilitate the follow-up of contractual spending, develop trade terms, and improve contract strategies based on channel needs.

ANALYTICS

  • Ensure proper communication to FSM regarding the objectives and KPIs of planned activities.

  • Prepare and periodically present analyses on the performance and KPI activation of all trade marketing mix levers.

  • Analyze market trends and consumer insights to identify opportunities for growth and innovation within the on-trade channel.

TEAM LEADERSHIP

  • Lead and mentor a team of 2 Brand Ambassadors

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in the FMCG or Drinks Industry with a first experience in people management

  • Fluent in Dutch and English

  • Autonomous, negotiation skills, hands-on mentality, strong advisory and facilitation skills

  • A confident and articulate communicator capable of inspiring strong collaboration within an organization

  • Ability to manage simultaneous projects and meet deadlines.

  • Proactive, positive, and innovative mindset

  • Digital minded, tech savvy and project management skills.
