The Testing Scheduler will report to Operations within Prysmian Transmission business unit
Job Overview
You will report to the Testing Planner (in HQ), working in direct contact with the laboratory manager where high voltage cables systems are tested/qualified. The aim is to ensure the update of the ongoing activities and planning of the resources with a focus on the short-term. The main tasks are the allocation of the resources, tracking of deviations against the base plan, updating the HQ and supporting on the daily definition of the priorities, dialoguing horizontally with all the functions to ensure the alignment of all plans, highlight and predict conflicts.
Responsibilities and Duties

Define and update the plan of work of the project qualification

Support the laboratory with the daily planning of activities

Continuous alignment with other functions (Installation, Testing, R&D, etc.)

Alignment with production sites and logistics (readiness and availability of materials in the lab)

Track and occupation monitoring of assets

Predict conflict and define possible scenarios

Define short-term action plan in case of unforeseen events

Evaluate the saturation of resources in the short term period (people, assets, etc.)
Your experiences and background

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Engineering preferred)

Preferred experience with planning and progress monitoring

Use of Microsoft Project is a plus

Good communication and presentation skills

Location
You will be based in Bishopstoke (UK) in one of the main Prysmian lab, with support to the French labs in Gron and Montreau.
When needed the person may also have to travel to other sites for alignment, and to the HQ in Milan. Other laboratories involved for the qualification of the projects are: CESI (Milan, Italy), High Voltage Laboratories (Eastleigh, UK), Montereau HV Labs (Montereau, France), R&D Ansaldo Labs (Milan, Italy), Gron HV Labs (Gron, France), Manlleu (Manlleu, Spain), external laboratories (Germany, Croatia, Hungary, Portugal).
Other Prysmian sites which could be part of the activities are located in all the world. Other examples: Pikkala Plant (Pikkala, Finland), Arco Felice Plant (Pozzuoli, Italy), NSW Plant (Nordenham, Germany), Gron HV Labs (Gron, France), Abbeville (SC, U.S.A.).
