We have an exciting 10-month CONTRACT opportunity in our Field Sales team as Territory Development Manager-Toronto/Sales Analyst.  This contract role is based in the GTA, with 2 days a week in the office out of our Mississauga Head Office location.

In partnership with our customers, the Territory Development Manager executes category management, promotional & merchandising strategies & secures incremental displays and volume to ensure a competitively superior in-store presence for our brands.  They are also responsible for collection and analysis of sales data utilizing internal and third party (Dunnhumby & Circana) platforms to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for growth in the Sales Analyst portion of this hybrid role.

Territory Management 

  • Achieves 100% authorized distribution levels in all stores. 

  • Sells displays against all customer programs and corporate promotions. 

  • Accurately reports, on a timely basis, in-store results through computer tools and processes. 

  • Monitors and reports competitive activity. 

  • Executes customer specific shopper marketing initiatives, tied to Campbell’s priorities, and in accordance with our values 

  • Sells category business plans and merchandising as communicated in retail selling priorities by providing expertise in category and brand dynamics. 

  • Utilizes category management principles in presentations to sell base and incremental activities at key customers. 

Category Management / Sales Analyst

  • Collection and analysis of sales data utilizing internal and third party (Dunnhumby & Circana) platforms to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for growth.  

  • Creation and preparation of Customer & Store Level Scorecards to assist in monitoring performance vs retail plans for Sobeys & Metro.  

Customer Development 

  • Supports the sales team to ensure Customer deal sheets are completed accurately 

  • Accurately reports sales controllable actions at store level to Customer Teams. 

  • Manages Direct Accounts (Volume & Trade Spend) – where applicable. 

Administration 

  • Operates within regional spending guidelines at retail 

  • Submits Sales Call Reports, Weekly Planners and necessary trackers on a timely basis. 

  • Understands and leverages store level reporting to influence decisions 

Development 

  • Reflects on and shares selling concepts, successes and challenges at team meetings. 

  • Understands required skills & knowledge, & together with their manager, creates & maintains Individual Development Plans & action items. 

The ideal candidate will have:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to influence Superior customer presentation skills and strong negotiation skills Strong time management, budget management and organizational skills Extremely detail oriented, strategic thinker, strong business and financial acumen and proven ability to manage multiple priorities Exceptional understanding of Excel with experience using Microsoft Power Point and Word documents Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to use AC Nielsen as well as learning internal data platforms High energy self-starter as well as collaborative team player Exceptional Understanding of consumer and industry trends Proactive in self-training and ability to implement new controls and procedures to improve own role
