Title: Technical Training Coordinator
Required Shift:
Monday – Friday
8am – 4:30pm
(Hours are flexible based on business need)
Job Purpose:
Technical Training Coordinator to support the development of technical capabilities within Operations by facilitating and tracking a training program. This role will be responsible for managing the administrative aspects of our Learning Management System, including inputting and maintaining the site’s training data and ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of training records. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to efficiently manage documentation and data entry related to operator training and upskilling initiatives.
What are we looking for?
Minimum Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years of Manufacturing or Maintenance experience
• Training Experience gained through a combination of job-related training/education and considerable work experience
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially with Excel
• Ability to work autonomously within established procedures and practices
Physical Requirements:
• Frequent lifting/carrying pushing (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
• Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
• Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, leaning over equipment and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).
• Ability to understand, communicate, read, and write basic work-related English.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 5+ years of Manufacturing or Maintenance experience
• Technical degree or certifications
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Ability to create and manage skills matrices to assess skill gaps.
• Ability to facilitate group training sessions
What will be your Key Responsibilities?
• Develop and maintain training records for all associates by Value Stream, sitewide.
• Develop training materials such as videos, presentations, SOPs, and e-learnings targeting specific skills as defined by the training program.
• Serve as a facilitator of training materials, including nights and weekends where needed.
• Facilitate 8-week technical training program focused on upskilling operations technical capabilities.
• Maintain a skills matrix by Value Stream and make recommendations for targeted trainings to close skills gap.
• Continuously seek and support new approaches, practices and processes to improve the efficiency of training services offered.
• Help leaders (line managers) to solve specific training needs/problems, either one-on-one or in group.
• Regularly meet with Leaders to create a Quarterly Training Plan and update periodically to ensure training is on track and capability is being built.
