This role is about:

A skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our team, specializing in Point of Sale (POS) systems. This role involves supporting both external and internal customers with their daily tasks related to the POS project. The ideal candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication skills, and the flexibility to work on-site and remotely as needed.
You will:

  • Daily Support: Assist external and internal customers with daily tasks related to the POS project.
  • Technical Investigation: Conduct thorough technical investigations to resolve client issues efficiently.
  • Merchant Account Management: Create and manage merchant accounts to ensure seamless operations.
  • POS Terminal Installation: Install POS terminals on-site, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
  • Transaction Status Checks: Provide detailed transaction status checks to customers.
  • On-Call Duty: Be available for on-call support out of business hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Issue Escalation: Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate IT teams and service providers.
  • Testing and Validation: Test merchant cases and payment methods to ensure system integrity.
  • Technical Support: Offer general technical information and support to customers experiencing issues.
  • Decline Reason Investigation: Investigate and determine reasons for transaction declines, providing detailed feedback to customers.

Work Schedule

    • Weekly Work Days: Wednesday to Sunday
    • Business Hours: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM at the office premises
    • On-Call Duty: Remotely available during evenings and weekends for support (on-call without active work)
    • Days Off: Monday and Tuesday


What we need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a technical or customer support role, preferably with POS systems or payment services.
  • Hands-on experience with POS terminal installation and maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to conduct technical investigations.
  • Familiarity with merchant account management and payment processing.
  • Understanding of transaction processes and decline reasons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A Driving license and a Greek language are a must.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Willingness to work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Experience with specific POS systems and software.
  • Knowledge of the payment processing industry and related regulations.
