Red River Technology is actively seeking a dedicated and highly skilled System Administration professional to join our team in supporting a mission-critical program for the Navy. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the success of a crucial initiative that directly enhances national operational readiness across the entire US Naval Fleet.
The System Administrator will help to ensure the smooth functions of IT systems, monitor for potential issues in a proactive manner, and support compatibility between systems for a flagship integrated combat system for the Navy. They will also govern datacenter operations. This position requires onsite work in Moorestown, NJ and up to 25% travel to the National Capital Region.
Key Responsibilities:

Install and configure software, hardware, and networks.

Monitor system performance and troubleshooting issues.

Ensure security of IT infrastructure.

Troubleshoot issues and outages.
-
Upgrade systems with new releases and models.
-
Be proactive about challenges or constraints within the program and manage them accordingly.

Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including materials, manpower and time necessary.
Qualifications:
-
Active DoD Secret clearance.
-
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field or applicable work experience.

Six years of experience as a System Administrator, preferably in the government sector.

Demonstrated experience with VMware (Vcenter).
-
Experience with Cisco ACI products or related Cisco technical environments.

Experience with data system security.

Experience with creating scripts in Python, Perl, or other scripting languages.

Professional experience and high-level understanding of working with various operating systems and their implications.
