About the Role:
CoreWeave is looking for a Physical Security Systems Administrator to lead the administration and expansion of our fast-growing network of electronic physical security systems. This role is ideal for someone who has deep expertise in the Genetec Platform, holds relevant certifications, and has hands-on experience managing enterprise-level security systems. If you have strong networking skills, a solid understanding of Genetec Security Center databases, and experience integrating third-party systems, we want to hear from you.
Strong organizational skills, technical writing abilities, and system configuration expertise are essential. We are also looking for a collaborative team player who approaches security with a customer-first mindset.
This position requires up to 10% travel for on-site security installations and training. Additionally, there will be times when the candidate must be available outside of regular business hours to support critical issues or meetings. You will report to a Physical Security Program Manager and work from our Security Operations Center in Livingston, NJ.
- Day-to-day administration of CoreWeave’s unified backend video surveillance, access control, visitor management, intercom, and associated systems
- Conduct system monitoring to verify hardware, server resources, and security system integrity.
- Investigate security and EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) incidents, document findings, and report to leadership.
- Manage alerts, troubleshoot all system issues, and escalate as needed.
- Provide remote support to field installation teams nationwide throughout the project implementation phase.
- Configure and harden new servers and workstations before deployment into CoreWeave’s PhySec network.
- Support security system installations, including testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting in coordination with vendors.
- Support Windows-based servers and workstations, including Server 2019/2022 and Windows 10/11
- Provide Tier 1 support and training for internal users with access, credential, or Genetec software issues.
- Manage third-party integrations, including Single Sign-On (SSO), identity management, visitor management, and employee portals.
- Maintain clear and precise documentation for troubleshooting, operations, and standard procedures.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Organize biannual training sessions to keep teams informed about new security features and improvements.
- Continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance to achieve and sustain 99.9% uptime.
- Maintain full compliance with CoreWeave’s security policies and required industry regulations.
- Perform monthly audits to maintain high security standards.
- Produce quarterly reports on security performance which analyze trends and pinpoint areas for improvement.
Additional Responsibilities:
- To stay updated with industry best practices, attend workshops and training sessions while participating in networking events.
- Uphold superior quality standards while managing strict deadlines
- Deliver independent work that demonstrates meticulous attention to detail and thorough follow-through.
- Demonstrate leadership by discovering and putting new security initiatives into action.
Your ExperienceTechnical & System Expertise:
- Hands-on experience with Genetec Omnicast and Synergis for enterprise-level deployments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of networking essentials like TCP/IP protocols, as well as routing mechanisms and network troubleshooting techniques.
- Understanding of SQL databases, including data integrity management and database troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience integrating systems and deploying field solutions with vendors.
- Proficient in operating Windows, macOS systems along with Google Workspace tools.
Educational Background & Analytical Skills:
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Criminal Justice, or a related discipline is preferred though not necessary.
- At least five years of hands-on experience working with physical security projects and system administration.
- Experience using data analytics or business intelligence to spot trends, interpret logs, and improve security systems.
- Proficient in writing reports along with creating dashboards for security analysis.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
- Proficient at communicating clearly in both spoken form and written documents.
- Skilled at making technical concepts understandable to people without technical backgrounds.
- Demonstrated proficiency in establishing and sustaining solid connections with internal teams as well as external vendors and partners.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Certifications: PSP, CPP, CPTED.
- Manufacturer Certifications: Genetec, Axis and Bosch or similar.
- IT & Cybersecurity Certifications: CCNA, CISSP, Network+, Security+.
- Experience managing a Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Knowledge of managing projects related to physical security or IT systems.
- Experience in law enforcement fields, military service, or corporate security executive positions.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $90,000-$110,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
