The Role
The Strategic Management Consultant is responsible for problem-solving, helping businesses to attain efficiencies through proposed changes, and working on core strategy development, operational optimization, risk advisory services, technology deployment, and human capital advisory. They help businesses remain competitive by analyzing business practices and devising strategies for improvement. They work with businesses and organizations to support, develop and implement business strategies to improve business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Meeting with clients to discuss business goals and objectives.
- Conducting market research, studying market trends, and conducting change management.
- Analyzing existing company processes and workflows.
- Analyzing organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Evaluating the practices and market behavior of industry competitors.
- Creating and presenting analysis reports.
- Devising strategies to increase revenue, cut costs, and promote growth.
- Overseeing the implementation of updated business strategies.
- Reviewing and analyzing the efficacy of revised business strategies.
- Monitoring the long-term effects of business changes.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, business management or similar.
- 5+ years experience as a strategy consultant.
- Detailed knowledge of industry trends and market behavior.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and research skills.
- Knowledge of business strategies, project management, organizational dynamics, and risk management.
- The ability to lead and motivate teams.
- Knowledge of data analysis and market research.
- Deep understanding of management frameworks.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of financial analysis.
- Experience with project management.
- Report writing skills.
Additional details
- Most projects will have a remote/hybrid model but some may require occasional travel up to 25% of the time
- Special focus given to candidates within the Canadian Atlantic Provinces
