With a global team of 50+ and over 30 members based in Austin, Texas, we’re searching for a seasoned UX Designer with a passion for user experience design, UI frameworks, and data visualization to help drive impactful user experiences.

What You’ll Do:

As a Sr. UX Designer at ShipperHQ, you'll play a central role in shaping the future of how e-commerce brands manage their shipping. You'll design intuitive, visually stunning, and data-driven user interfaces that make complex shipping processes easy to navigate and use. Collaborating with product managers, engineers, and marketers, you'll help refine the core product and create next-gen analytics tools. Your work will directly impact how the world’s most recognized brands optimize their shipping operations.

Your Impact:

  • Execute user experience, interaction, and visual design as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Develop and enhance UI frameworks, ensuring consistency, scalability, and a user-friendly experience across the platform.
  • Help translate complex requirements into clear, engaging design prototypes and user flows.
  • Research design and industry trends, including technology.
  • Consult and collaborate with stakeholders on designs, requirements, and strategies.
  • Use data visualization best practices to build intuitive charts and dashboards that communicate key insights to end-users.
  • Conduct user research and testing, continuously iterating on designs based on real-world feedback to drive improvements.
  • Produce wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and designs that align with ShipperHQ’s vision and exceed user expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned including design and expert reviews, participating in product research, presenting to customers, leadership, and partners, etc.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: 
    • 5-8 years in UX/UI design, preferably with a focus on user experience, analytics, and data visualization within SaaS or e-commerce products. 
    • Proven experience with UI frameworks, designing and refining scalable components, and understanding the complexities of data-heavy interfaces.
    • Expert-level conceptualization and visual communication ability, as well as drawing and sketching techniques, as appropriate.
    • Successfully delivered significant new product design improvements (features) to market.
    • Expert-level knowledge and understanding of functional user stories to refine and enhance solutions within the team.
    • Experience with design patterns and systems, processes including Design Thinking
    • Understanding of standard software project management practices, including Agile
    • Experience in user research, usability testing, and data visualization techniques.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Strong command of design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)
    • Successfully and directly created wireframes and visual design comps within specific guidelines.
  • Skills: 
    • Excellent attention to detail, with a creative and analytical mindset for solving complex design challenges. 
    • Able to balance user needs with business objectives and technical constraints.
  • Attitude: 
    • Proactive and organized, and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
    • A problem solver who enjoys working collaboratively, embraces feedback, and continually seeks ways to improve the user experience.

Logistics:

  • This is a full-time position
  • Remote work available within the US; preference for a local candidate to work in a hybrid model from our Austin, TX office two days per week 
  • Compensation is based on experience.
