Job Summary:
The Sr. Learning Specialist will play a pivotal role in coordinating programs, collaborating with program leads and support associates across the business units, and supporting to drive learning initiatives that align with our organizational goals.
This role requires an enthusiastic individual with a deep understanding of adult learning principles, Learning Systems, and the latest trends that contribute to driving a learning culture at Blue Yonder.
The Sr. Learning Specialist will collaborate with all levels of the organization various departments to identify learning needs, coordinate with the business units, and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
Key Responsibilities:
New Associate Onboarding and Training Coordination
An Onboarding Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring new associates have a smooth and welcoming start. Key expectations:
- Lead the global administration of onboarding as it pertains to the set-up of all regions’ new hire associate training and orientations.
- Manage the training calendar, coordinating and scheduling program activities.
- Manage end-to-end program activities related to NAO, including sending invites, creating mailers, sending reminders, tracking progress, and generating reports in the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Function as the producer before and during training sessions, ensuring setup of materials, smooth delivery, and addressing any technical issues.
- Open to facilitating and filling in for trainers occasionally or as needed.
- Open to facilitate live training together with other instructors.
Training and Development
- Coordinate global training programs including communications, setup in Learning Management System (LMS), tracking and reporting.
- Work with program owners and participants to support their learning needs.
- Assist in content research and development, including creating learning materials, PPTs and videos for various programs.
- Work towards delivering various types of training that enhance associate knowledge, skills or behaviors or address organizational development gaps.
- Support larger HR special projects as needed.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with subject matter experts, SKY Learning Team, and other business units to ensure training is relevant, and aligned with business objectives.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization, including executives, to promote learning initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Learning Partnerships:
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements within the organization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define learning objectives and outcomes.
- Curate learning intervention plans for the targeted audiences and help enable associates with the right skills.
What we are looking for:
- Should have 5-7 years of experience in Learning space.
- Prior experience working as a training coordinator or and as a part of Global HR Teams
- Proven track record in managing end-to-end program activities.
- Proficient across the O365 suite, familiarity with learning management systems, learning experience platforms & human capital management (HCM). Experience with Cornerstone and Workday preferred.
- Should have a basic awareness of AI/ML and Generative AI for productive purposes.
- Familiarity with basic content development concepts and tools such as PPT and simple video.
- Familiarity with Learning Intervention Activities
- Fast learner with the ability to grasp new tools/concepts quickly.
- Willingness to work in global teams and across time zones.
- Collaborative approach to work, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability towards tasks
- Excellent attention to detail in all aspects of work
- Exceptional written communication skills
- Familiarity with public speaking
