Job Description:

NextGen Healthcare is seeking a dynamic and innovative PR and Social Media Specialist to join our marketing team. This individual will play a key role in elevating NextGen Healthcare's brand presence and thought leadership as a leading provider of healthcare solutions. The ideal candidate will help us enhance our reputation across our key channels and at industry events, communicating our commitment to improving the quality of care and operational efficiency for healthcare providers.

  • Manage and optimize corporate social media accounts across multiple platforms (LinkedIn, X, Facebook, etc.) to drive engagement and promote our brand, solutions, and thought leadership.
  • Maintain social media calendar and coordinate with internal stakeholders to develop content for regular social posts, utilizing trackable links for measuring performance.
  • Manage and track speaking event submissions and participation. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to research opportunities and execute thought leadership speaking events.
  • Identify topics and determine internal and external subject matter experts. Coordinate speaker preparation, including drafting slides and preparation meetings. Coordinate promotion before, during and after event.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and media coverage to identify PR and social media opportunities.
  • Track and report on the effectiveness of PR and social media campaigns using tools such as Brandwatch, Hootsuite, and LinkedIn Analytics. Adjust content and strategy as needed to achieve maximum impact.
  • Draft and produce initial content as needed for press releases, articles, podcasts, and other PR content. Ensure accurate tracking and links for PR content.
  • Perform other duties that support the overall objective of the position.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.

Experience Required:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in public relations, social media management, or a related field.
  • Experience using digital tools such as Pardot, Salesforce, GoToWebinar and project management tools such as Asana is preferred.
  • Experience using digital design and AI tools (Canva, ChatGPT) or other content creation tools is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of: Proficiency with social media platforms and analytics tools (e.g., Brandwatch, Hootsuite, LinkedIn Analytics).
  • Skill in: Strong writing, editing, and communication skills. Creative and analytical thinker with a passion for building brands and telling impactful stories. Analytical abilities to build and interpret data report metrics to track PR and Social Media performance. Strong organizational skills for managing speaking engagements and events.
  • Ability to: Create compelling content.
