Job Description:

Nextracker is seeking a Senior Manager, Grant Administration to lead and manage the full lifecycle of grant funding opportunities, from identification and application to compliance and reporting. This role will be responsible for securing and administering government and private sector grants that align with Nextracker’s strategic initiatives.

As an independent contributor, the Senior Manager will work cross-functionally with finance, legal, operations, and R&D teams to ensure compliance and successful execution of grant-funded projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grant Identification & Strategy: Research and identify grant opportunities from federal, state, and international agencies, as well as private foundations, that align with Nextracker’s business goals.
  • Proposal Development: Lead and coordinate the grant application process, including writing proposals, gathering supporting documents, and ensuring timely submissions.
  • Grant Compliance & Administration: Manage all aspects of awarded grants, ensuring adherence to funding requirements, tracking budgets, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams—including Finance, Human Resources, Legal, and Operations—to ensure compliance with financial reporting, regulatory requirements, and grant conditions.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and submit financial and performance reports to grantors as required. Maintain detailed documentation to support audits and compliance reviews.
  • Risk Management & Governance: Monitor and mitigate risks associated with grant funding, ensuring all activities adhere to legal, financial, and regulatory standards.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement best practices for efficient and effective grant administration.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in grant administration, government funding, or a related field, preferably in the renewable energy, technology, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Proven track record of securing and managing large-scale grants from government agencies (e.g., DOE, NSF, European Commission) and private entities.
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements, financial tracking, and reporting for grants.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple grants simultaneously.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, with experience drafting successful grant proposals.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in grant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary Range Applicable to California: $130,000-$180,000
