The Job:
Duties & Responsibilities
o Product application verification and development of products
o Securing product engineering during development phase and securing mass productivity
o Responding to, analyzing, and reporting engineering information requested by the internal & external customers
o Responding to and supporting the sales activities
o Basic drawing understanding, preparation and interpretation ability
o Users of documentation programs such as words and Excel
o Understanding the functions and operation methods of test equipment
o Overall knowledge of automotive products and process
o Knowledge of Automotive developments process and understand customer requirements
o Have the ability to communicate and respond flexibly with the internal & external customers
- Overall knowledge of automotive products and process
- Understanding in raw materials, plating, heat treatment, hardware, equipment and battery related products
- Smooth use of test equipment, ability to decipher test data and engineering information
- Able to respond to problems with drawings, products and process
- Ability to write concise, easy-to-see reports
- Identify the automotive and industrial market trend
- Familiarize with new joining technologies, EV and batteries and identify trends
- Introduction and localization of advanced technologies in Korea
- IATF16949 understanding
- Provide leadership for all engineering activities, including design, development, and application of components and equipment.
- Supports product design and efficient manufacturing.
- Works with the Productivity/Continuous Improvement team
- Advocates design principles for manufacturability with product engineering for production efficiency.
- Supports manufacturing processes to achieve desired end products, including changes to manufacturing processes to address design specifications.
- Provides technical expertise to resolve component and equipment issues.
- Leads cross-functional teams through the preparation, execution, and follow-up of continuous improvement projects.
- Validates new processes, optimizes current processes (e.g., replacements), implements and trains on a variety of capabilities for new tools, and ensures that competencies are built.
- Enforces safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
- Stays current on industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Support quality improvements and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage cross-functional teams.
- Mature in computer mechanical drawing AutoCAD and other relevant software.
- Have a global mindset, able to perform in a competitive approach on work.
- Bachelor’s degree or above. Master's degree is a plus.
- Experiences 5+ years of engineering in automotive industry
