The Special Vehicle Tester II will perform unique and specialized testing of connected vehicle features that cannot be done during mileage accumulation routes. The Special Vehicle Tester II will perform these tests in the vehicle, the parking lot or on the road.
As a Special Vehicle Tester ll, you will be responsible for:

  • Conduct specialized vehicle testing using the connected vehicle features such as internet connection, location, entertainment and security
  • Handle data recording and data transfer process including connecting and securing measurement equipment prior to testing and removing equipment after testing and initializing data transfer
  • Perform vehicle diagnostic readouts and review results to report any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC’s)
  • Perform specialized vehicle testing following customer specific testing procedures
  • Complete and submit test results and evaluation forms into customer systems, with attached links/documents from measurement equipment
  • Interface with the team, customer engineers and stakeholders to review test results, answer questions and provide feedback
  • Perform full vehicle functionality testing
  • Testing Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)

To be considered a Special Vehicle Tester ll, you will need:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3years of experience in a test driver role or equivalent
  • Good driving record
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to perform basic functions in Microsoft Office and on a mobile communications device
  • Capable of following simple wiring instructions to connect vehicle wire harnesses to measurement equipment (beyond OBDII connections)
  • Self-starter with the ability to complete tasks with little supervision and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledgeable and comfortable with electronic devices and applications

A successful candidate may also have:

  • Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle
  • Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends
