Job Responsibilities:
Essential Functions of the Position:
- Ensure daily Pre-Shift inspections and frequency checks are completed accurately and conduct planned inspection audits on each shift.
- Create a positive work environment, as outlined in MAPs Handbook and per our Employee Charter.
- Effective communications. Conduct department and supervisory meetings using our Tier process (audit Tier meetings, support and develop additional communications for your shift, ensure elevation of Tier 1/2/3 meeting/shift reports)
- Follow, comply and enforce all operational procedures/policies as stated in the employee Environmental Health and Safety programs (Magna and OSHA Standards).
- Conduct Pre-Shift meetings with the team to communicate safety and/or quality issues and production targets.
- Train team members on E-Coat process protocols, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular checks on paint thickness and quality, ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
- Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives specifically aimed at enhancing the E-Coat/Paint process.
- Coordinate with quality control teams to address any issues related to paint adhesion, coverage, and durability.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to the supervisor regarding team member performance and training needs
- Initiate and administer corrective actions as required.
- Develop and facilitate on-the-job team member training -encourages training and development.
- Perform other duties as required.
Physical Demands
Manufacturing Environment: 90% Standing and Walking, 10% Lifting
Education
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Work Experience
- Previous leadership experience preferred.
- Must currently hold or be able to attain a forklift license.
- Must exemplify excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, and communication skills (written and oral).
- Good mathematical, analytical and organizational skills.
- Able to work in various locations within and outside the plant.

Pay range: $27.11 - $30.03 per hour
