Role Summary:
The GTT Solutions Consultant exists to partner with sales to drive revenue growth for GTT by identifying customer needs, establishing technical credibility, defining, designing and proposing world class solutions.
The Solutions Consultant will be an integrated part of the sales team and will provide pre/post-sales technical support to target channels and customers, and function as a technical escalation liaison for channels, customers, and working team members in Sales team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supports GTT Sales Organizations in capturing new business and up-selling existing customers
- Consults customers on technical questions surrounding the requirements on ordering new and changing existing services
- Works cross functionally with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Technical Management and Service Delivery to understand customer needs and to develop a proposal for solutions
- Provides a high level of technical expertise in designing solutions and consulting customers
- Presents GTT’s technical capabilities and service benefits including demos to prospective customers
- Helps Sales with consulting, solutions design, proposal generation on sales opportunities and assistance with consulting to Delivery and Implementation teams on ongoing projects.
- Develops detailed solution design documentation
- Ensures customer expectations are set accordingly through the pre-sales and delivery phases.
- Provides technical and product training to Sales teams
- Carries out other responsibilities as needed and assigned
- Travels to Partner or Customer sites when required
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Understands the functions and features of components of multiple technical domains (WAN, LAN, Security, Cloud, Hosting, Voice) and how they work to form a world class solution.
- Understands the latest ICT and security concepts and industry grade best practices
- Has knowledge of enterprise grade cloud hosting and virtualization technologies - VMware, KVM, hyperconverged Infrastructure, Amazon, Azure,…
- Understands SD-WAN and SASE technologies
- Understands network design, LAN design, routing, and secure IP networking
- Is Team Player and has willingness for self-development
- Is customer oriented and able to maintain good relationships with internal sales reps, partners and customers
- Has excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, able to work with minimum supervision
- Demonstrates ability to hit deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment, ability to prioritize
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills
- Demonstrates strong analytical skill and attention to detail
- Speaks fluent English.
Essential Criteria:
- Technical background and 4+ year of related technical work experience
- Understanding of routing, switching, network security, MPLS, SDWAN, SASE, latest network and security concepts and ability to demonstrate this.
- Understanding of hosting technologies, including physical servers, virtualization and cloud technologies, storage, load balancing,
- Maintain good awareness and interest in the ICT market and technologies
Desirable Criteria:
Some or all of the following:
- Vendor qualifications from VMware, Microsoft, Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba, Fortinet, Silver Peak etc.
- CCNA is strongly desirable
- AWS, AZURE certifications
- Understanding of ERP and CRM systems
- Understanding of a DR methodology and the tools to ensure ICT services continuity.
- Experience as security or network engineer, experience with SDWAN
- Experience with cloud technologies, server migrations, P2V, storage migrations,
- Practical understanding of IT applications and TCP/IP in LAN/WAN environment
- Understanding of QoS, SD-WAN and WAN Optimization, MPLS VPNs (Routing Protocols - BGP, OSPF), Ethernet (Switching, Spanning-Tree, VPLS).
- Understanding of Microsoft Server products, Intel based Server Hardware, Virtualization (VMWare), Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), IT Applications and Data Centre Infrastructure
- Understanding of ISP/System Integrators delivery processes
- Understanding of the bid cycle
Hours/Travel/Shift:
Bulgarian office working hours from 9:00 to 17:30, no shifts. Up to 5% of the working time could require traveling.
