Inside the Role
The On Site Support Supervisor II will be responsible for a team of resources responsible for the 24x7 Production Critical IT Support of the Detroit Powertrains Operations. The scope of this responsibility covers all areas of IT across hardware, networks and applications. To succeed you will need to be able to lead both direct reports as well as the larger cross functional organization, including outsourced service providers. In addition to the Service Operations support this role will also have 1-2 large transformational projects assigned at any given point in time. The project responsibilities will cover all Project Management knowledge areas and phases from analysis, scoping, development / delivery, testing and hand over to support resources. These projects will have direct impact to the ongoing success of the Detroit Operations by either bringing efficiency improvements or transforming the Daimler Truck landscape to enable stand alone operations of Daimler Truck. An example of one of these projects is leadership of the Identity and Access Management transformation for all Detroit Shop Floor devices and applications.

Position offers a starting salary range of $98,500 – $126,000 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.

What You Drive at DTNA
- Ensuring staffing, training, performance feedback and expectation management to the IT Support personnel based on the weekly production schedule
- Develop, track and report IT Service Operations KPIs spot trends and problems working towards corrective action prior to impacting production operations
- Detroit IT Change Board Owner, facilitation of IT Production changes
- Responsible for scheduling of Detroit P1 Lead rotation and tracking of KPIs for plant impacting IT Incidents
- Project Management of assigned key projects ensuring sound PM methodologies are adhered to in order to achieve targets of the assigned projects
- Root cause analysis and Problem Management across multiple IT disciplines, always with a focus on addressing the true Root Cause to eliminate future Incidents
- Single Point of Contact to Plant Operations for MSO requests, escalations and feedback
- Implement standard processes and identify areas of improvement in regards to training, support model, cost reductions and customer satisfaction
Knowledge You Should Bring
- Bachelors degree and 7 + years of experience in a manufacturing IT environment
- Experience leading complex IT projects across both application and IT infrastructure
- Experience working and leading in a complex matrix organization – ability to obtain buy-in and commitment from cross functional teams
- Manufacturing Execution Systems support, enhancement and project delivery experience
- Financial and budget management

- Multiple large scale IT implementation projects in the manufacturing space
