Position Details:
The IT Shared Services Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating project teams through waterfall/agile/and hybrid project management practices. They will enable the team to achieve a high level of performance and quality in the delivery of project to provide exceptional business value to users.
You are responsible for managing multiple concurrent, high visibility projects using waterfall/agile/hybrid methods in an environment that may cross multiple business units or teams.You will focus on building on project management principles and practices to adapt project delivery approaches to provide the right balance of agility and predictability to suit the business goals of projects.
You Will:

  • Directly manage information technology projects supporting Infrastructure, Information Security, Business Systems & Operations, and Insights, Data Engineering & Analytics.
  • Support project scope and schedule development/management while focusing on timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; manage risks, issues, and escalations; and perform delivery planning and execution for assigned projects.
  • Own project management responsibilities three to five separate projects or programs: build and manage project schedules based on defined scope and resource constraints; manage and control scope and deliverables for assigned projects.
  • Demonstrate ability to gather and provide project level estimates and reporting (Status, Risks/Issues, Leadership Escalations) for teams executing projects
  • Orchestrate team project delivery while holding teams accountable for their commitments; identify and remove roadblocks to project work.
  • Facilitate work across multiple technical teams, business units, 3rd party vendors/partners, and other projects as needed to achieve assigned projects' goals and deliverables.
  • Act as peer mentor to project managers on the team; assist portfolio management in project governance and practices


You Have:

  • BA/BS or equivalent preferred
  • 5-7+ years of Information Technology Project Management experience
  • 7+ years of experience in an IT related field preferred
  • Solid understanding of waterfall/agile/hybrid project management principles and practices and ability to adapt methodologies to projects
  • Experience mentoring peers or project teams in project management practices and procedures
  • Sufficient level of business/technical background to provide interface with technical project delivery teams and to be able to evaluate project risks and issues accurately and objectively.
  • Knowledge of project facilitation, situational awareness, stakeholder management, conflict resolution and consensus building.
  • Strong relationship management skills that enable effective navigation in a highly matrixed organization to quickly earn sponsorship and trust to mobilize and motivate project teams.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively and manage multiple cross-functional teams.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) preferred. Agile certifications such as PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications are helpful.
