Sr. Product Manager – Total Oil Management

As the Sr. Product Manager for Total Oil Management, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our rapidly growing $500M+ cooking oil business. With full P&L ownership, you will foster revenue growth and profitability by shaping product strategies, leading cross-functional teams, and building key partnerships. This role emphasizes product innovation, market expansion, and positioning the product as an industry leader, while consistently improving performance and enhancing customer satisfaction to accelerate growth.

Location: Minnesota (within 90 miles of Mendota Heights, MN)

Travel: Up to 25% domestically

Key Responsibilities

 

P&L Ownership

  • Manage the Total Oil Management P&L, focusing on revenue growth and achieving EBITDA targets.
  • Deliver regular financial updates, including monthly and quarterly P&L insights, and review and approve pricing proposals.

 

Product Strategy & Execution

  • Develop product roadmaps and strategies informed by market trends, customer feedback, and competitive analysis.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (Strategic Pricing, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Engineering) to execute product initiatives effectively.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to drive product innovation, addressing customer challenges and improving profitability.

 

Market Leadership & Growth

  • Partner with Marketing to establish Total Oil Management as the leading solution in oil management and recycling.
  • Explore partnerships with OEMs and sales channel partners to accelerate market expansion.
  • Work with Operations to create and implement consistent processes for installation, service, and customer communication across depots.

 

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships and hold cross-functional stakeholders accountable for delivering key objectives.
  • Provide mentorship to future team members responsible for product strategy, roadmaps, business cases, and product launches.

 

Continuous Improvement & Reporting

  • Identify opportunities to improve product performance, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide regular product line updates to internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clarity across the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience gathering customer requirements, developing innovative products/services, and successfully launching them in the marketplace.
  • 8+ years of professional experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, marketing, engineering, or a related field.
  • A customer-first mindset in setting and achieving business objectives.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to manage complex P&L responsibilities.
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders across functions and locations.
  • A strategic mindset with a results-driven approach to execution.
  • Experience gathering customer requirements, developing innovative products/services, and successfully launching them in the marketplace.
  • Familiarity with a stage-gate product development process incorporating both waterfall and agile methodologies.
  • Specific experience defining requirements for and launching a digital customer portal that includes service, billing, and operational features.
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to draw actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or an advanced degree is highly valued.
  • Experience in customer account management is a plus.
