The Job

We are looking for a new member for the Marketing team that will be working with the Marketing Strategy and Analytics VP and Finance team in order to support the management of the budget for the marketing team.  

Responsibilities 

  • Lead the execution of sourcing strategies and projects for global Marketing commodities, including but not limited to strategic and creative agency relationships, media, content creation, print production, direct mail, market research, social, demos, events, promotional items, talent and influencers. 

  • Drive the adoption of services agreements, MSAs and SOWs with Marketing function 

  • Assists in the development of budgets based on negotiated contracts 

  • To profile current and future spend, scan the market, conduct in-depth analysis of the cost base, manage the supply base with Marketing function and look at how services can be sourced efficiently and effectively 

  • Covers categories such as Customer Engagements, Brand and Communications, Portfolio and Industry Marketing and Marketing (General) (subject to changes) 

  • Marketing effectiveness: Alignment marketing procurement activities with stakeholders on effectiveness measurement, ensuring KPIs, ROI and other performance metrics are clearly defined, tracked and optimized 

  • Ensure suppliers align with the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) requirements, promoting sustainability, ethical practices, and diversity.  

  • Compliance & risk management: ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements in all procurement activities, identify and manage risks related to supplier performance and market fluctuations.  

  • Team enablement: Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate complex marketing procurement challenges.  

  • Facilitate implementation of procurement change initiatives within category to improve business performance. 

  • Execute elements of the overall operations category strategy to ensure service delivery improvements. 

  • Provide support in company’s acquisition strategy plans by completing the due diligence and integration activities for the spend categories. 

 

Key relationships 

  • The role will report to VP Marketing Strategy & Analytics 

  • VP Procurement 

  • Members of Global Procurement unit 

  • Members of Marketing, Finance, Legal Procurement and Compliance, and Sustainability units 

  • Global Process Owner – Procure to Pay (GPO P2P) 

  • Senior members from other business units 

Skills & Qualification

Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred. 

CIPS or APICS certification is a plus 

Minimum 6+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or sourcing, with at least 2 years specializing in marketing procurement. 

• Experience in a global organization and familiarity with multinational procurement processes. 

• Proven track record of delivering cost savings and value in marketing categories. 

• Deep understanding of marketing categories, including media, creative services, digital marketing, and sponsorships. 

• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders and suppliers. 

• Financial acumen with experience managing large budgets and delivering cost efficiencies. 

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. 

• Ability to manage and lead cross-functional and multicultural teams. 

• Knowledge of procurement systems (e.g., Oracle) and advanced analytical tools. 

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. 

• Strategic mindset with attention to detail. 

• Commitment to sustainability, diversity, and ethical procurement practices.

Hybrid working

By default, employees are expected to be in their local AVEVA office three days a week, but some positions are fully office-based. Roles supporting particular customers or markets are sometimes remote.
