The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Multimedia Projects to join our Firm. Within this position, you will lead the development and execution of innovative multimedia content that supports the Firm’s business objectives. This is a hybrid position based in our New York office. Please note that the Firm will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leads the creation, execution, and distribution of multimedia content, including videos, podcasts, and other digital assets that align with the Firm’s strategic goals.
  • Oversees the development of content for use across the Firm’s social media channels.
  • Develops and produces podcast content that showcases the Firm’s thought leadership and aligns with and enhances the Firm brand.
  • Oversees all aspects of video production, from concept development and scripting to filming, editing, and post-production.
  • Ensures all multimedia projects adhere to brand guidelines, are high-quality, and resonates with target audiences.
  • Responsible for maintaining Firm tone, style and "voice" across multimedia projects.
  • Plans and executes multi-channel campaigns that support key Firm initiatives, including client engagement, talent recruitment and thought leadership.
  • Partners with internal stakeholders including marketing, business development, communications, and practice groups to ensure consistency and strategic alignment.
  • Works with marketing group and other business services professional departments to ensure that content deliverables meet the needs of internal and external clients.
  • Tracks performance metrics and provide data-driven recommendations to enhance impact.
  • Collaborates with other business services professional departments on multimedia projects as appropriate.
  • Oversees relationships with external vendors, agencies, and production teams as needed.
  • Ensures current knowledge of Firm policies and practices, current knowledge of industry trends, and continued professional development for business services professionals.
  • Participates in the interviewing, selection and training process.
  • Coordinates and oversees department projects, day-to-day operations and long-range plans.
  • Monitors time, attendance, overtime and expense reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with Firm policies.
  • Effectively utilizes the Firm's performance management process to communicate performance expectations, monitor performance, coach employees, and manage unsatisfactory performance.
  • Oversees employees' work performance and provides guidance in the resolution of problems.
  • Initiates disciplinary procedures in collaboration with the Human Resources Department.
  • Recommends guidelines and practices to promote efficiency, effectiveness, excellent customer service and improved employee relations, in alignment with the Firm's Core Values.
  • Develops and communicates departmental guidelines and procedures with respect to editorial projects.
  • Ensures accurate and timely responses to requests for departmental services.
  • Engages in strategic (i.e., long-range) planning by developing departmental goals and supporting objectives for assigned department(s).
  • Regular and reliable physical presence (ex: work as part of a team, meet with clients, use on-site equipment, etc.)
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.
  • Demonstrates significant independence in the role.
  • Consistently demonstrates thought leadership and the implementation of best practices.

  • Demonstrates fiscal responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Current knowledge of industry best practices, trends and techniques
  • Knowledge of relevant Firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
  • Knowledge and implementation of the annual budget process
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrates close attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational and planning skills
  • Demonstrated experience with leading and supervising others
  • Ability to administer Firm policies and procedures
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and delegating effectively
  • Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of seven years of related experience in a law firm/professional services environment or in journalism
  • Minimum of five years of related experience managing people
  • Minimum of five consecutive years of experience with the Firm or equivalent for external candidate

The starting base salary for this position is expected to be within the range listed under Salary Details.  Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.

Salary Details

$200,000 – $220,000
