Senior Manager Finance‬ Analytics

ImpactAs a Senior Manager Finance Analytics in Birmingham, AL, Minneapolis, MN, or remotely you will be responsible for leading our Data Analytics team within the Finance organization at Shipt. This role will report to the Director of Research and Reporting, helping to drive strategic decision-making through data driven insights, playing a critical role in optimizing reporting/analytics capabilities and supporting cross-functional initiatives.
While no two days are the same you will oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. You will develop and maintain dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) to provide actionable insights to finance leaders and key stakeholders. You will drive the integration of advanced analytics and automation tools to enhance efficiencies and present analytical findings and recommendations to Finance leaders. You will collaborate with Data Science team to oversee data architecture, integration, and management, ensuring efficient data flow and accessibility. You will also work closely with various departments, including Data Science, Finance/Accounting and Operations, to ensure alignment on strategic goals and initiatives.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

• You have Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science or a related field.
• You have 7 years of experience in data science, finance analytics, operations finance or related fields.
• You have SQL proficiency and are familiar with aggregation, joins and window functions.
• You have data analysis language proficiency (ie R, Python) and dashboard tool experience (ie Tableau, Power BI)
• You have experience with process automation (ie Airflow) and with excel or google sheets.
• You have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
• You have the ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
• You are proactive and adaptable to changing business needs.
• Experience using API's especially Slack, Google Maps and Google Drive is preferred.
• Basic data engineering (transforming raw data for storage in another table) is preferred.

Work Arrangement

Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections. In-office expectations will vary by role and leader.  Certain roles may require in-office presence on a full-time basis. Employees will also be eligible to receive discretionary vacation for exempt team members, paid holidays throughout the calendar year and paid sick leave.  Other compensation includes eligibility for an annual bonus and the potential for restricted stock units based on role.

Pay Range:

$112,000-$224,000

All other locations:

$93,000-$187,000

Please note that the salary range above is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
