Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity within our Finance team at DTN! We are seeking a Senior Accountant – Payroll. You will provide support to our global payroll. This is a new position based in our hub in Manilla.
About the role:
As our Senior Accountant - Payroll, you will collaborate with the Finance team for all payroll matters. You will own and be responsible for tracking and managing payroll journals while working with third-party payroll partners.
What you will be responsible for:

Own month-end closing procedures associated with the role.

Reconcile Payroll Statements and liability Accounts and perform analysis on payroll expenses.

Prepare required journal entries, including but not limited to payroll, opex accruals, employee expenses and expensing of prepaid items.

Prepare and maintain supporting schedules and reconciliations globally across multiple companies and currencies.

Can communicate with multiple teams within the company and address questions as well as cultivate strong relationships with clients, understanding their business objectives and providing strategic financial advice to support their growth and success.

Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.

Performs consistent self-review to ensure accuracy of work.

Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and improve accuracy through automation and best practices.

Ability to handle multiple priorities and adhoc projects from leaders.
What you will bring to the role:
-
Demonstrated working knowledge of accounting systems including Excel, SAP, Workday, and other accounting ERP software preferred.

Demonstrated working knowledge of processing global payroll, recording payroll accruals, understanding payroll taxes and benefits globally, and the ability to support spend categories/cost centres.

Demonstrated working knowledge of performing Opex accruals associated with AP, T&E, and other operating expenses.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively when building and maintaining client relationships.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.

Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

Strong time management skills and the ability to work in a matrixed environment.

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between 525000 PHP and 75000 PHP. DTN is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits.
