Pr. Finance Specialist (Tax)
Summary:
Responsible for managing a team of professionals in preparing, reviewing, recording and posting of financial statements. Typically, works closely with management by providing regular financial reports, identifying areas of risks, and assisting in the development of corrective actions to drive the success of each of the lines of business.
Major Responsibilities:

• Reviews and ensures the correctness of tax accounting entries and provides advice for proper recognition of transactions with tax implications
• Examines financial accounting records for preparation and filing of tax returns (eg Monthly Expanded Withholding Tax, Final Withholding Tax, Monthly and Quarterly VAT Returns - and Quarterly and Annual Income Tax Returns - 1702Q and 1702, Donor's Tax Doc Stamp Returns)
• Ensures and reviews SEC and PEZA reportorial requirements
• Monitors and ensures compliance to statutory reporting deadlines
• Manages resolutions BIR audits assessments, and notices
• Provides advice on tax related matters tax saving measures, and lowering tax-related risks and exposures
• Proactively provides tax updates and discusses possible impact to the Company
• Ensures PEZA compliance for utilization of Income Tax Holiday incentive
• Performs account analyses reconciliations and monitors adherence to deadlines
• Closes works and collaborates with US counterparts for US regulatory requirements, timeline raises issues and clarifications as well as follow-throughs on the results
• Collaborates with other finance teams for smooth execution of end to end operations and provide support as necessary
• Other job related tasks that may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• 5 years Tax experience, with 3 years in a managerial role
• PEZA experience
• Knowledge of standard accounting policies and procedures
• Knowledge in PeopleSoft or any Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
• Knowledge of Software/applications (SAP, Oracle) is an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (MS Excel, Word PowerPoint, Gsuites)
• Amenable to work in a mid shift schedule
• Amenable to work in Alabang
