The Senior Accountant Executive/ Finance Manager is responsible for maintaining day-to-day financial reporting and regulatory compliance needs of our business. The person will work closely with the company's cross-country team, while reporting to head of finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform the day-to-day financial and administrative operations
- Be responsible for the overall good maintenance of accounting books
- Ensure timely and accurate month end closing and prepare monthly reports including monthly financial statements, cash flow statements and management reporting
- Support in finalizing month-end reports; Upkeep of records for audit.
- Recording Journal entries (eg., Receipts, Payments, purchases, sales, accruals, Audit adjustments, etc)
- Should be able to summarise monthly revenue & expense report.
- Preparation of input tax, output tax reports and statutory filings and submission to the various government agencies.
- Ensure compliance of financial records and controls with corporate statutory, and regulatory requirements of entities.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable Management, including liaising with suppliers/customers for verification of payment/invoices
- Work collaboratively with various internal parties across the company's global offices to acquire or provide information needed to support for leadership analysis, reporting, budgeting and forecasting
- Participate with team in liaising with external auditor, tax agents, and external parties for all statutory and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance
- Prepare payments by certifying documentation and requesting disbursements
- Coordinate and support between Finance Manager and Head of Office
- Timely followup with customers on payments.
- Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements, including for staff reimbursements and expense reports
- Update Cash Book whenever payment has been made.
- Maintain the flow of cash in and out as well as the internal transfer of fund
- Prepare bank reconciliation statements to keep track of balances
- Support any ad hoc administrative work, if any
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting/Finance or recognized certificate such as ACCA
- Relevant at least 3 years of working experience in the related field is preferred
- Proficient in XERO, MS office
- Experience/working knowledge of Xero accounting software would be a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills, good team player and willing to learn
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Passionate and willing to learn
