Job Description:
DXC are looking for a SAP Release / Capacity Manager to join our client focused SAP delivery team. This position will be working with our account leadership and clients to coordinate delivery across a portfolio of client requirements (projects, small change and enhancements) ensuring smooth ongoing delivery across this busy SAP portfolio. Experience in SAP delivery and understanding the SAP delivery lifecycle is essential.
Due to the nature of our client accounts, SC security clearance is required and for us to obtain this for you, you must be a sole British National that has lived and worked in the UK consecutively for the past 5 years. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider dual nationals currently.
Responsibilities:
Release Coordination:

Plan and manage all pre-release, release, and post-release activities.

Ensure readiness of teams, systems, and stakeholders for the release.

Provide input and recommendations for release timelines based on readiness and capacity.

Work closely with Project managers and other leads to ensure release governance and deployment.

Facilitate regular release level meetings to discuss progress, risks, and issues.

Conduct post-release reviews to assess the success of the release and identify areas for improvement.
Capacity Management:

Forecast resource needs for upcoming releases, projects, and BAU activities.

Monitor resource utilization and resolve conflicts by reallocating resources as necessary.

Collaborate with Program Managers and Functional Leads to align resources with priorities.

Highlight capacity risks to governance forums and propose mitigation strategies.
Governance Reporting:

Present release readiness updates, capacity utilization reports, and risk assessments to governance forums (e.g., Portfolio Governance Forum, Steering Committees).
Release Management Deliverables:

Detailed release plans with milestones and readiness checklists.

Recommend release timelines to the Portfolio Lead or Steering Committee for approval.

Post-release evaluation reports with lessons learned and improvements.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of release processes, including release notes and deployment instructions.

Ensure that end-users have access to necessary training and support materials.
Capacity Management Deliverables:

Escalation logs for capacity conflicts or risks.

Approve operational adjustments to resource allocation for smooth release execution.
