The Sales Analyst will be primarily responsible for compiling, reporting and analyzing sales and point of sale data in support of the North American Sales organization (all channels).  The analyst will evaluate and identify trends in sales by analyzing industry data both internally at Husqvarna and externally. The analysis, interpretation and recommendation of data will be used to create coherent, intelligent reports and be presented to the sales team and to executive management.  Data analysis will include sell-in; sell-through POS; existing internal and external inventory for additional sales opportunities; promotional success tracking and analysis; product price analysis, etc…  Further it will require the creation of sales opportunity lists, sales targets within markets & tracking as well as analysis summary of any missed opportunity.  All this should then be combined in individual target report incl. software for Territory and RSM sales managers.

What You Need to Know:

• Compile, analyze and report sales data to sales team and executive management.

• Monitor and analyze market trends providing interpretation and summary to pinpoint areas of focus/need.

• Lead point-of-sale dashboard design, analysis and reporting including store level, regional level and promotional results to synthesize external sales trends, stock levels and suggestions to drive topline growth.

• Work closely with IT and Marketing in the creation and development of internal and external sales tools including CRM and B2B platforms.

• Assist sales operations with demand planning through historical sales analysis, marketing intelligence and POS insights.

• Leverage business intelligence software (SQL, Power BI) to aid in customizable reporting ensuring sales team can monitor changes in portfolio/proactively impact topline results.

• Participate as advisory role to sales organization in forecasting cadence and annual budget cycle

• Create an easy-to-review dashboard compiling all necessary data managing the business from a customer standpoint. 

• Knowledge of coding and be proactive in suggesting ways to simplify business sales and analytics

• Implementation of data into an easy to read system “on-the-road”.

• Ad hoc assignments and projects as necessary.

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, business management, finance, marketing or related field

• Mastery level skill within Excel, Access, Power BI, SQL and data warehouse software

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in data analysis role

• Ability to analyze complex data sets and form executive level presentation of results, interpretation and recommendation

• Ability to prioritize tasks, communicate to key stakeholders and have a strong sense of urgency

• Strong oral and written communication abilities

• High level of organization and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently as well as cross-functionally within team setting

• Capable of streamlining existing and new processes in order to facilitate continuous improvement initiatives
